iLeafOur weather services consist of an online software platform (iLeaf) from which users can view weather data and models based on measurements from our more than 1000 weather stations based in Southern Africa.
To meet the decision support requirements of modern day farming our app allows for the seamless integration of raw weather data, weather predictions, and models that can be viewed on a desktop, tablet or smartphone.
Our weather stations have GPRS technology and sends data in real-time to the cloud. Our stations are monitored daily for functionality to ensure a high quality data stream to the cloud.

Our weather stations can measure temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, wind direction and solar radiation. All our weather stations communicate through GPRS technology. Weather data is sent hourly to a central cloud server where the data is thoroughly checked by our quality system as in the examples below:

A model-specific for South African conditions using hourly weather data was developed. The model was tested in 2020 in the Western Cape on two blueberry farms by comparing it to a standard calendar spray schedule and unsprayed control treatment in terms of the number of sprays scheduled per season and grey mould incidence on inflorescences of Eureka blueberry plants.
